Former 7 News/Sunrise Journalist and Founder of the Cut Jewellery Talitha Cummins: Sobriety and Lab Diamonds Are a Girl’s Best Friend

This week I’m thrilled to welcome the wonderful Talitha Cummins. You may recognise Talitha from delivering you the news in the evening and on the weekends on Channel 7 in Sydney.

As a former 7 News and Sunrise journalist, Talitha has been incredibly open around her journey and addiction with alcohol. ABC’s Australian Story featured her when she first went public with her story.

Now, after 11 years of sobriety, Talitha has moved from 16 years on air as a journalist to jeweller, as the founder of her new business The Cut Jewellery.

In this beautiful chat, Talitha and I explore;

  • What it was like to be an on air presenter and addicted to alcohol
  • The use of alcohol as a numbing agent
  • Talitha’s rock bottom moment
  • Talitha’s sobriety and rediscovering herself as a person
  • Making a career change
  • Dealing with self doubt and what other people think
  • The difference between mined and lab diamonds
  • The beauty in finding a new path

Plus so much more!
