Luke McLeod on Finding Inner Peace and Calm Without Becoming a Monk

This week, I’m thrilled to welcome to the pod one of Australia’s most popular thought leaders and practitioners in mindfulness and meditation, Luke McLeod. He’s also the founder of mindfulness app Soul Alive and the author of Everyday Enlightenment, which is now available for pre-order.Β

Luke has spent over 20 years studying various meditation techniques and is passionate about helping other people find inner peace and calm without having to become a monk.

After going through a series of challenging life events all at the same time; an ending of a 10-year relationship, a family member’s cancer diagnosis, a friendship ending and a business venture falling part, Luke took himself of a journey of self discovery through India where he delved deeper into meditation and mindfulness practices which he brings into his work today.

In this chat we get stuck into;

  • Dealing with difficult life challenges
  • Default coping behaviours vs meditation and mindfulness practices
  • How to develop a meditation practice
  • What to do when trauma comes up in meditation
  • How to find your primary sense meditation
  • The difference between relief meditation and processing emotion through meditation
  • Practical tips to bring calm into your everyday life

Plus so much more!
