Michael Ramsey on Strong Pilates, Changing How We Do Fitness, Aligning Passion with Business & The Importance of Innovation

I’ve been hanging to release this ep since we recorded it. This week I’m joined by the lovely Michael Ramsey, co-founder of Strong Pilates and founder of Journey Retreats.

Rams is well known in the fitness space, particularly in Melbourne where he established and sold 6 extremely successful F45 studios within the space of 4 years.

It’s been such a pleasure watching the development of Strong, his new baby, over the past 2 years. We’ve had this chat in the works for a while, so it was nice to finally get to sit down with him to chat in person.

We get stuck into some really juicy topics like:

  • How the concept of Strong is changing the way we do fitness
  • Unpacking progressive overload and why it’s necessary for muscle adaptation
  • Aligning your passion and values with your work and business
  • Dealing with uncertainty and risk
  • The importance of innovation in business
  • Building brand equity
  • Ram’s top tips for fitness professionals and entrepreneurs
  • Ram’s personal training and nutrition routine
  • The importance of music and movement

Plus so much more!
